I've been falling behind on posting for a couple of reasons. I got a flat and into a car accident within days of each other and bitten by fire ants (which I'm allergic to) on a separate occasion. That and I seriously need a new laptop like, last week. It's degraded to the point where it barely turns on. I'm actually on [info]vxo 's laptop right now. But I'd rather not go much more into detail on these things.

Thursday was AGA's Halloween party. It went about as well as can be expected. The Japan Club officers could have planned the judging for the costume contest better and someone tried to steal one of my Domo-Kun pinatas before anyone had the chance to break it, but everyone had fun and that's all that matters. Only real complaint I have is some douche kept managing to steal the microphone and make some nasty comments to Claire.

I also won the raffle for free tickets to see Dir en Grey. Honestly, I'll probably end up selling them to someone because I have trouble telling the difference between Dir en Grey and L'Arc~en~Ciel. You don't have to tell me how different they are and how this is a mistake I shouldn't be easily making. To be honest, if I really wanted to go that badly I could have probably gotten in for free anyway. Thanks to certain connections, all the concerts I've see at Revolution have been free.

If you haven't seen the movie SARS Wars, I totally recommend it. Think a Thai version of Shaun of the Dead but with the zombies being caused by a SARS outbreak. Obviously this is a bit dated 4 years later, but it's still hilarious. It's available on Netflix and I think you can get the dvd on Amazon Marketplace for around $10.

Early Friday evening [info]vxo and I went to a Hell House because I've always wanted to go to a real Hell House. I just wanted the chance to see the cheese up close and personal. It was everything I could have hoped for except maybe a walk-through instead of a drama. Apparently gypsy tarot readers can conjure up grim reapers and abortions carry quite the risk of being lethal to the mother (though I'm sure pulling the IV out of your arm mid-way through the procedure isn't recommended).

We were originally going to spend the rest of the night at a block party in his neighborhood, but it was lame, so we went to this giant party in the gay district instead. I can't believe we found another couple dressed as Kermit and Miss Piggy. What were the chances of that? I do have pictures but I am unable to post them now.

Actually, Kermit and Miss Piggy is a really great couples costume. I'm surprised more people don't do it :D

Sounds like you've had a rough couple of weeks. I hope things get better.
